Director of Camp Programs
The American Youth Foundation is delighted to share that we are growing our team and expanding our efforts! The Director of Camp Programs is a year-round position, responsible for planning and leading an inclusive, residential youth development program at Camp Merrowvista each summer. The Director of Camp Programs’ primary purpose is to foster a safe, inclusive, and healthy community environment in which all young people are able to discover and develop their best. Each summer, Camp Merrowvista supports approximately 525 participants and 75 seasonal staff, and this position is the primary representative to all constituency groups (parents, participants, seasonal and full-time staff, alumni, and AYF Board of Directors) and is responsible for ensuring that all state, American Camp Association, and AYF program regulations are implemented and adhered to. Additionally, this position is responsible for the risk management and emergency response within the all-genders camps and adventurer (“Four Trails”) programs, and in support of other programs as appropriate.Learn More Here
Director of Operations
The American Youth Foundation is delighted to share that we are growing our team and expanding our efforts! The Director of Operations is a year-round position, responsible for providing support for all functions at the site, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and cost effectiveness. The Director of Operation’s primary purpose is to directly manage the departments and areas of food program, finance, facilities, office administration, and IT. Additionally, this position will have command and awareness over research and trends in youth development that can serve as the knowledge base guiding long term business decisions.
