Director of Camp Programs

Full Time Position

The Director of Camp Programs is a year-round position, responsible for planning and leading an inclusive, residential youth development program at Camp Merrowvista each summer. The Director of Camp Program’s primary purpose is to foster a safe, inclusive, and healthy community environment in which all young people are able to discover and develop their best. Each summer, Camp Merrowvista supports approximately 525 participants and 75 seasonal staff, and this position is the primary representative to all constituency groups (parents, participants, seasonal and full-time staff, alumni, and AYF Board of Directors) and is responsible for ensuring that all state, American Camp Association, and AYF program regulations are implemented and adhered to. Additionally, this position is responsible for the risk management and emergency response within the all-genders camp and adventurer (“Four Trails”) programs, and in support of other programs as appropriate.

Accounting Clerk

Full Time Position

The Accounting Clerk is a year-round position, responsible for managing onsite accounting (A/P, A/R, P & L’s), AYF account reconciliations, and supporting staff in budget management. A key responsibility is to insure systems are followed to safeguard accurate records are kept and maintained for petty cash, purchasing, fixed assets, property, equipment, and inventory. Additionally, this position will be a strong team player with previous finance/ bookkeeping/ accounting experience. The Accounting Clerk will serve as the knowledge base guiding AYF staff on financial software, systems and processes.

CSP Program Coordinator

Full Time Position

The CSP Program Coordinator (CSPPC) is responsible for designing and implementing assigned programs with client groups that attend American Youth Foundation - Merrowvista. They serve as a site leader, program coordinator, program facilitator, and are a member of the program team supervised by the Director of CSP (DCSP). In addition to serving the needs of clients and programs, the CSPPC serves as a role model for interns and assists the DCSP in coaching and supporting the interns. The CSPPC also supports the camp program during the summer.

Four Trails Coordinator

Full Time Position

The Merrowvista Four Trails Coordinator role is a year-round position, responsible for designing, implementing, and supervising an inclusive, residential, high school youth development program at Camp Merrowvista each summer. The role will primarily focus on the running of both the adventure trip program and the in-camp service and leadership programs. In addition, this position will support the full camps team in hiring, recruiting and planning for all summer programming. In the spring and fall program season, this role will also act as a program facilitator or coordinator on the Community and School Programs (CSP) team. This position serves as a role model for all program staff and assists program director(s) and coordinator(s) in coaching and supporting other members of the team.

Camp Program Coordinator

Full Time Position

The Camp Program Coordinator (CPC) role is a year-round position which, along with the Director of Camp Programs (DCP), is responsible for the planning, preparing and delivery of an inclusive, residential youth development program at Camp Merrowvista each summer. The CPC is heavily involved with the running of program throughout the summer and helps to ensure that all state, American Camping Association, and AYF program regulations are followed. In the offseason, the CPC is the primary manager of our ideal client relationships, interfacing with program participants and parents, as well as marketing and selling the summer program. Additionally, the CPC assists in the hiring, supply ordering, schedule building, and overall planning for the summer experience. In the spring and fall program season at Merrowvista, this role may also act as a program coordinator or facilitator on the Community and School Programs (CSP) team.
