Patrick found his way to Merrowvista through his better half, Jamie, who showed him how positive and integral AYF programming can be in the life of a young person. He grew up working in the family business of carpentry, when not in school, where he fostered a love of learning how things go together and come apart. After joining the Full-Time team in 2007, he was excited to practice and grow his skills of building, maintaining, and cleaning the structures and site of Merrowvista. Three things that he likes about his job are: working for a youth-focused organization, working in the inspired and unique communities that are created every year, and desperately trying to use his Creative Writing degree by writing the most fanciful work-related emails that have ever been dared to be written.
