With a glistening silver sky above, Friday at Girls Camp was a day that went beyond the ordinary. Today was Dreams Come True, which provided campers the chance to try new experiences outside of their interest groups.
Instead of the afternoon block of interest groups, after lunch, each camper chose one specific “dream” activity to explore. Campers could choose between the high ropes challenge course, tie-dye at the Craft House, Lake Michigan beach time, a pool party and beach volleyball at Stony Lake, or learning some outdoor cooking skills in the fire circle — and eating the results.
It was a fun-filled afternoon before a delicious dinner with a very special cake dessert. The fun didn’t stop there though.
Night’s Doings was the fan-favorite Gold Rush, but with a new twist: Space Gold Rush. Campers had to collect all the space rocks before being tagged by aliens. Everyone ran around avoiding aliens and dancing along to an out-of-this-world playlist.
Right after a calming Evening Reflection, campers and staff alike headed to bed with new Miniwanca dreams.
