Good evening and welcome to the Miniwanca summer blog. If you are new to this page, this is where we keep all of the updates of food, events, and news throughout the summer. If you have been here before welcome back and thank you for reading!
Today, we welcomed all of our two and five week campers. They were greeted at the Upper Lodge with music, bubbles, pictures, brownies, and more. During this time, our three weekers had some quality time with their cabins and age group communities. After some rotations to learn about Interest Groups and how to have a fun, safe summer, campers headed to the Eating Lodge for a pasta dinner. Dinner was followed by Council Circle introductions and late night cabin chats..
On the flip side, a quick update about our Four Trails trips. Trailblazer girls are currently hiking on the North Country Trail of the Manistee National Forest. They will be back on the dunes soon to pack up and head out on their canoes. The Explorer girls are currently canoeing the Manistee River and are having a great time. The Adventurer girls are in Traverse City for the Cherry Festival and a layover day. Voyageurs just arrived at camp and settled in their cabins. Finally, our Odyssians are in the middle of Michigan powering through their trip like champs.
We are super excited for the days to come and the memories we will continue to make this session until next time!
