Charlotte Mills passed away at the age of 88 on April 22, 2017. Charlotte attended Miniwanca for many years in the 1940s. She was a long-time supporter of AYF and attended several conferences.

Laura & Elliott Martin

This is a real polar plunge into the Antarctic Ocean. Laura and Elliott Martin were members of Miniwanca’s Polar Bear Club in the ’90s and ’00s. Having trained in the waters of Lake Michigan, they enjoyed their invigorating dip. Their mother (left) who was not a Miniwanca camper, didn’t enjoy the swim as much. Their father, Meade Martin, a Miniwanca camper in the ’60s and ’70s, took the photo. He had enough sense not to jump into the 29 degree water.
