Adventuring to the Outpost and Mt. Flagg

Seekers in Session B have recently returned from various trips across the 6oo acres of Merrowvista. The trips allow youth to step away from the regular camp schedule for a couple days to spend time with their village (cabin) in a more remote setting.

Mahoousic village took to the waterfront to canoe across Dan Hole Pond to Merrowvista’s campsite, Outpost, just a short distance from the waterfront shore. The campsite has multiple elevated tent platforms to help keep everyone dry overnight.

Moosilaukee village chose to adventure on foot up into the extensive trail network on the property. The village spent a night at the North Star Shelter built by the Wayfinder class of 2021. The group took a side trip to hike to the summit of Mt. Flagg to take in the views of the Canaan Valley and Lake Winnipesaukee in the distance.

As we enter the second week of the session, there are many highlights to look forward to, like the county fair, camper talent show, and community fire circle.
