The American Youth Foundation is so excited to celebrate with you at the Checkerboard Gala!
The AYF Checkerboard Gala takes place Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025. Ticket sales end Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Please carefully review the FAQ below for more information about tickets, travel, and accommodations.
Discounted accommodations are available at The Cheshire St. Louis and the Moonrise Hotel. All reservations must be made by Sept. 17 to secure a discounted AYF rate.
Thank you for your offer, but we do not need volunteers for this event.
No, they are two separate events on the same date: Saturday, Oct. 18. The BBQ Birthday Party is a family-friendly casual outdoor gathering that takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tower Grove Park. Tickets are $10 per person and are available online.
The Centennial Gala is an awards dinner and fundraiser that takes place from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at The Trolley Room in Forest Park. Tickets are $150 per person and are available online.
Yes, if you have dietary restrictions, email ayfcentennial@ayf.com with your specific needs by October 10.
While kids are welcome, we encourage families with children to bring them to the BBQ earlier in the day. The gala dinner will not have activities for children. The fee for a child’s ticket is the same as for adults.
