Becky Hanrahan

Director of Development

Becky joined AYF in December 2025, bringing expertise in fundraising and campaign strategy from independent nonprofits and higher education. She’s thrilled and grateful to land at an organization that doesn’t just match her résumé – but speaks to her soul.

A stalwart believer in AYF’s motto, “My own self, at my very best, all the time,” since fortuitously discovering AYF after a last-minute phone call and a packed-in-a-day drive to Miniwanca to fill a vacant camp leader position. (She’s always been a “yes” person.) She feels right at home at AYF and working alongside a team that mirrors her values and spirit.

She’s the proud mom of two Miniwanca campers, Poppy and Rosie; married to Peter, her high-school sweetheart and enthusiastic AYF convert; and lives with HulaBaby (named after Elvis), a dog whose favorite hobby is shaking camp sand all over the living room when the girls return.

When she’s not working, Becky practices and studies yoga and seeks out new studios wherever she travels.

She holds a master’s in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Go Illini!), plus an MBA and BA from Washington University in St. Louis.
