Miniwanca, Merrowvista are now hiring for summer 2022

The American Youth Foundation is thrilled to welcome back more campers in 2022, and Merrowvista and Miniwanca are seeking energetic individuals to join their seasonal youth development teams for a summer of adventure, play, and youth empowerment.
Merrowvista and Miniwanca need enthusiastic, reliable individuals to serve in the following roles:
- Facilities Team
- Food Program Team
- Health Team
- In-Camp Cabin and Village Leaders (camp counselors)
- Four Trails Leaders (on-trail outcamping leaders)
- Mental Emotional Social Health Team
- Office and Communications/Media Team
- Program and Activities Coordinators
- Program Specialists
- Leaders in Training (LITs) and Rhyolites
Each seasonal staff member will participate in two weeks of paid staff training, then work two consecutive three-week sessions. In most casts, staff receive one day off for every six working days.
The AYF board of directors and full-time team recognize the powerful and demanding commitment the seasonal team makes to the youth we serve. We are thrilled to announce we have significantly increased our pay rate for summer 2022.
This season, the following positions will earn:
Cabin and Trip Leader Roles: $4,800
Specialists and Operations Roles: $4,000
Coordinator Roles: $6,000
Lifeguard certification bonus: $300
Referral bonus: $200 per hired staff member referred
While some roles require our seasonal staff to live on-site (Cabin Leaders, for example), all roles below have the option to do so. Housing and meals are provided.
The health and safety of our AYF community is our top priority. All summer 2022 staff and participants eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine are required to be fully vaccinated before their session starts. Proof of vaccination will be collected before arrival at camp.
As the AYF continues to navigate evolving pandemic conditions, the team will share testing, masking, and pre-arrival protocols for staff, campers, and participants as they develop.
