Advancement Manager, Annual Giving
Beth (Walker) Dunn (she/her) attended Miniwanca in the ’90s. At 13, she nervously embarked on her first Four Trails trip. With her amazing cohort, she returned summer after summer to canoe, backpack and bike around the Great Lakes and Canadian wilderness. Her most epic journey was in 1997 when AYF partnered with Outward Bound to run Voyageur, resulting in a 30-day canoe expedition in the Manitoba wilderness. Beth became a Four Trails seasonal staff member soon after. Her fondest memory is riding down Ridge Road upon completion of Odyssey (Merrowvista to Miniwanca) in 2002. She also is a graduate of ILC class of 2000.
Beth graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2004 with a degree in English and holds a master’s in adventure education from Prescott College. She has worked as an educator with organizations such as Big City Mountaineers and Outward Bound. She also worked in higher education at The University of Denver and The University of Pennsylvania before coming full circle to AYF. Beth lives in Denver with her husband, daughter (now a Miniwanca camper), son, and River, the wonder dog.
