Julie discovered the AYF in 2010 and joined as Merrowvista’s Office Coordinator; six months later she became the Assistant to the President and works with leadership and Board of Directors. Having grown up and worked overseas for much of her professional life at an international school, working and engaging in a community focused on children at an organization with a noble mission were essential: a perfect blend she discovered at the AYF. Because of this background, Julie projects a Northeast “American” image but identifies more closely as a third-culture kid. Ever grateful, Julie’s youngest son was a summer camper at Merrowvista and a graduate of the National Leadership Conference. Lessons learned, friendships formed, the skills gained, and the community have laid a strong foundation, having impacted him in wonderful, positive ways. In her spare time, Julie enjoys hosting friends and family to home-cooked Indian food.
