Erin O’Brien
Co-Director, National Leadership Conference

Erin began her time with AYF in summer 2000 as a participant in the ILC (International Leadership Conference) at Miniwanca. After completing the four-year leadership program as a member of the Leaders for a New Beginning class, Erin continued volunteering with what is now the National Leadership Conference every summer. She has had many different roles as a volunteer staff member, including being on central staff for many years and a mentor of the Deeply Rooted class. She is honored to be a part of the AYF again as an NLC co-director and is inspired by the organization’s mission and core values.
Erin earned a bachelor’s degree in theatre from Eckerd College and a second bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Tampa. She was a preschool and elementary school teacher before her children were born. Erin lives in St. Petersburg, Florida with her husband and two children.
