Summer camp has been a part of Bridgette’s life since her fourth grade class took a trip to YMCA Camp Pendalouan. She has worked at that very summer camp for the last six years in many different roles, such as day camp counselor, cabin leader, waterfront director, and summer program director. She was also an outdoor education teacher at a west Michigan Montessori and has a passion for providing opportunities for students to build a connection with nature.
Bridgette is thrilled to continue her career with the American Youth Foundation at Miniwanca as the Program Coordinator, and she looks forward to helping cabin leaders and campers make magical camp memories.
She graduated from from Central Michigan University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Recreation and Environmental Education with a minor in Sociology Youth Studies.
She is a west Michigan native, born and raised in Muskegon. Not only is she excited to work right on the lakeshore, but her water-loving, 2-year-old Goldendoodle Remington is very excited at the idea of going for a swim.
